When should I book my first appointment?

For bridal, you want to begin shopping 9-12 months prior to your wedding. Each gown is custom built, so can take 6-8 months to arrive. Then you'll want to allow time for any alterations.

For bridesmaids, you want to begin shopping 7-8 months prior to your wedding. Bridesmaids dresses can take 3-5 months to arrive, and then your girls will want time for alterations.

For mothers, we have a selection of gowns that can be ordered within a month of the wedding, but you’ll have far more options if you shop 7-8 months prior. Many of our gowns are custom built for your order, at no extra charge to you.

How long will my appointment take?

For brides, allow at least one hour. Most appointments last about an hour and a half.

For bridesmaids, allow at least an hour. We have hundreds of bridesmaids options in store; don’t rush your search.

For mothers, plan about an hour. While mothers tend to know what they want, trying various styles and discussing color options can take some time.

What should I wear to my appointment?

Something you can easily slip in-and-out of while trying dresses. We have robes and heels available upon request.

For brides, strapless bras are entirely optional. Unlike budget bridal shops, we select bridal designers whose gowns tend to have all the support and underpinnings built in.

For bridesmaids & mothers, we recommend a strapless bra and neutral undies.

As a bride, may I bring guests?

Yes. Most brides bring 2-4 people. We have no limit on the number of guests you can bring to your appointment, but do ask that groups of 5 or more visit on weekdays to be most comfortably accommodated.

Just remember, everyone will have an opinion. Bring people whose opinions matter deeply, or who will be your cheerleader in finding what you want.

May I bring champagne? We want to celebrate.

Of course! Bridal parties are welcome to bring bubbly or snacks. We’ll provide the glasses. After all, we’re celebrating a major life milestone.

How many gowns will I be able to try?

As many as you'd like.

So, what's the process for an appointment?

Here’s how a first appointment goes:

  • exploration – you’ll be given time to freely browse our showroom. All gowns are on display with prices shown. If you’d like, our consultant can help you locate any specific design or style you might have in mind.

  • trying on – as your guests lounge, your consultant will assist you in trying the sample gowns you picked. She’ll help you see how this gown will look on you once it’s altered to your fit. You’ll be given as much time as you need to explore whatever styles you wish to try.

  • selection & ordering – our consultants will help you order the gown you love, or document favorite styles in your file.

What if I'm not ready to buy a gown after my appointment?

A bridal shop should never pressure you to purchase at your first appointment. We'll take notes on your favorite styles. You can come back or call whenever you are ready.

May I take pictures while trying on gowns?

Absolutely. We'll even take them for you.

What if I just want to drop in to browse for a minute?

Drop-ins are always welcome. Scheduling an appointment ensures a consultant will be ready and dedicated to you, but they’ll also be able to answer your questions if you just want to look around for a bit.

Why does my consultant join me in the fitting room?

Bridal gowns can be tricky to get on without help. The gowns in our shop are samples, so they won't always be your exact size. Your consultant helps clip and pin the sample to help you see how the gown will ultimately look once fitted to you.
